Founded on February 14, 2005, Mission in Church began when God stirred the heart of our founder, Debilal (David) Prasain, to care for two children in need. From this simple act of obedience, God multiplied the work. Within just one year, through faithful prayer and fellowship with new believers, the community grew to 35 members.
What began with a burden for two children has now grown into a vibrant, Christ-centered family of faith.
We exist to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ in the communities of Nepal—reaching the broken, caring for the fatherless, and nurturing new believers. We are committed to:
Through our children’s ministry and orphanage, we provide safe homes, spiritual guidance, and educational opportunities for children facing difficult circumstances or lacking access to basic needs.
We are a family of believers led by Pastor David Prasain and his family. God has surrounded us with faithful servants, spiritual sons and daughters, and a growing community of orphans, seekers, and passionate Christ-followers.
Together, we live out the Gospel—in word and deed—as we serve the people of Nepal.
“Where He leads, we will follow.”
Mission in Church is a Christian ministry serving in Nepal with a vision to share the love of Christ through compassionate service, training, and outreach.
Because Nepal is primarily a Hindu country, Christian missions often face challenges in obtaining direct government registration. To serve transparently and legally, Mission in Church operates under the recognized NGO Himalayan Foundation Nepal, which is officially registered with the Government of Nepal.
Government Registration No.: 935
Social Welfare Council Regd. No.: 24693
This partnership ensures our ministry remains faithful to Christ while maintaining full transparency and compliance with Nepali law.
Through Himalayan Foundation Nepal, Mission in Church is able to:
Operate in good standing with the Government of Nepal
Run community development and vocational training programs legally and responsibly
Maintain accountability in all financial and project reporting
Our collaboration allows us to focus on what truly matters — transforming lives through God’s love.
To feed Christ’s sheep, strengthen the faith of believers, and empower them to boldly share the Gospel with the unreached people of Nepal.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters, partners, and prayer warriors. Your love, generosity, and prayers make this mission possible.
Because of you, lives are being transformed, hope is being restored, and the message of Jesus is reaching the hearts of the unreached.
From all of us at Mission in Church—thank you for being part of God’s work in Nepal.
