One day, as I was walking through a dusty and dirty street, I heard the weeping voices of some children. My heart was deeply moved. I followed the sound and found them living in a very old, muddy, and unhygienic rented room. I soon learned that their father had died while working in Malaysia.
Out of that calling, we established Mission in Church Nepal, a ministry dedicated to caring for orphaned, victimized, and neglected children. Today, we have a living home for nine boys and seven girls, giving them safety, love, and a future filled with hope in Christ.
That moment stayed with me. Later that night, at around 3:00 a.m., I clearly heard the voice of God saying,
“David! Take care of those children.”
The voice came not once, but three times. I was a young man, still pursuing my studies and struggling with my own basic needs. Yet I could not ignore the call of God.
In obedience to His voice, I returned to those destitute children and brought them into my home. This is how God’s call to children ministry began in my life.
We began this work not as a charity, but as an act of obedience to God’s call. These children are no longer abandoned—they are being raised in Christian faith and values.
During the civil conflict between the Maoists and the Government of Nepal, many children became orphans. We could not turn a blind eye. In the face of hardship, God gave us strength to keep caring for these children.
I have served as a pastor since 2005. In 2007, I officially began the children’s home for orphans an
d vulnerable children. We now operate separate homes for boys and girls, raising them in a nurturing, godly environment.
I was also blessed to take part in the Benjamin Generation Model Training, which equipped me to raise children according to God’s Word and train them for His Kingdom.
Running a children’s home is not easy. Our greatest needs include:
Committed caretakers
Financial support
Cupboards and furniture
A photocopy machine
Daily basic necessities for the children
We humbly ask for your prayers, your support, and your partnership in this God-given mission. Together, we can raise a generation that shines in His light.
In Christ’s love,
Pasto: David Prasai
