 Mission in Church can organize for you to work with women and children who have HIV/AIDS . Millions of people in Nepal have been both directly and indirectly affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The responsibility of caring for AIDS patients and orphans is a large issue that has to be dealt with. Millions of adults and children have been directly affected by HIV/AIDS awareness program through the use of infected drug syringes. HIV/AIDS and drug abuse is a rapidly growing problem in Nepal. Lack of education means school children are not aware that HIV/AIDS can be transmitted through syringes, and fail to be taught concepts concerning HIV prevention.
Many children with HIV are forced to leave their schools and infected women are often abandoned by their husbands. Because of this widespread stigma, many people avoid being tested and hide their symptoms for as long as possible. According to a UN study, more than 80% of Nepalese people with HIV have not been diagnosed. There are a number of things that can be done in order to reduce the burden of this epidemic in this nation. These include promoting and protecting women’s human rights, and fostering awareness among women. Adults that are susceptible to drug abuse have played a significant role in the widespread transmission of the disease.  Mission in Church would like to help approach this issue by tackling the roots, or foundations, in order to try and prevent stigma and educate the Nepalese on HIV awareness. This will also reduce the pace of new cases.
Mission in Church hope to reduce the spread of HIV-AIDS awareness program through voluntary educational and medical interventions. Volunteers who choose to work in  HIV-AIDS awareness program in Nepal will assist with community based education on HIV and AIDS and care intervention programs including visiting  families that may be affected, prayer  and encouraging them.
